Abstract

A mounting system of a geared turbofan (GTF) engine is presented. It play a static determined structure when connecting the engine and aircraft pylon. To conduct the test on the mounting system a fake engine body is designed. The experiment setup is also demonstrated. The finite element (FE) modeling on the mounting system is studied using MSC/NASTRAN and then the main parameters of key parts are given. The presented method is validated with static analysis. A normal mode analysis of the model also shows that it can be adopted in the dynamical design.
