Abstract

In this paper, a transmitarray antenna of compact field antenna range (CATR) are proposed. It is based on single layer transmitarray with element of amplitude and phase modulation independently and realizes the rapid optimization of the quiet zone quality based on the spectral plane wave spectroscopy and genetic algorithm. The transmitarray element can achieve 360° phase-shift with transmission amplitude and phase independent adjusting at 5.9GHz. The feed is a conical corrugated horn antenna, which can achieve circular symmetrical pattern and stable phase center. By combining the spectral transfer function and genetic algorithm to optimize the array arrangement, the amplitude and phase errors of the quiet zone satisfy the requirements of the OTA testing system with 40% aperture.
