Abstract

A reconfigurable transmitarray antenna (RTA) element with high-pass filtering capability is proposed. The filtering RTA element is composed of the driving phase-shifting element(DPSE) and the high-pass filter element(HPFE). The DPSE based on the current-reversal method provides 1 bit phase difference. By increasing the order of the HPFE, the out-of-band suppression can be enhanced while simultaneously extending the passband bandwidth. A high-pass filtering RTA element with the third-order HPFE is developed and simulated, and the simulation results of the element show that the out-of-band rejection level is over 13 dB within 14-15.1 GHz frequency band. And the frequency selectivity parameters of the element is FL = 120.
