Abstract

The narrow bandwidth property of a microstrip antenna is one of the important reasons to restrict its wide application. A new method for designing broadband microstrip patch antenna in capacitive-coupled structures is presented in this paper. The measured results show that the antennas have an impedance bandwidth of 42% for VSWR less than 2.
