Abstract

In order to solve the problem of bathing in the elderly nursing process, a multifunctional electric bath chair was designed to reduce the burden of nursing staff in this paper. The whole scheme of multifunctional electric bath chair was proposed first. And function modules were designed in detail, including lifting four-bar mechanism and attitude adjusting mechanism. The structure parameters were determined based on the human body engineering, and the motion process was analyzed to verify the effectiveness of the design. At last, each part of bath chair was designed in detail by Solidworks. The experiment for the prototype was conducted which showed that the multifunctional electric bath chair can realize the function of seat height lifting, attitude adjustment and helping the elderly use the toilet and bath. It can better meet the needs of the elderly bath, improve the quality of life for the elderly, and make nursing process more convenient.
