Design and analyses of robot automatic drilling control system of aircraft components

Abstract

A design method of robot automatic drilling control system was forwarded based on upper computer and PLC. The robot automatic drilling system can drill the titanium alloy, aluminum alloy and laminated composites components of aircraft. Then the system framework, hardware module and software module were designed and analyzed according to the requirements and characteristics of the task. The results of the testing on-site show that the system can increase the drilling efficiency and assemble quality of the aircraft components immensely.
