Abstract
An improved core algorithm is proposed for "Total Energy Control System"(TECS), which diminishes the response oscillations caused by the cooperation error between aircraft total energy and its distribution. The construction of a feedback loop based on energy cooperation error to enhance decoupling performance for airspeed and flight path angle is the key step in the proposed approach. Based on the suggested method the TECS controller is synthesized for a linearized longitudinal axis aircraft model. Simulation results indicate that the cooperation error feedback loop can effectively reduce system response oscillations and achieves superior performance.
