Abstract

With the increasing demand for mobile communication, traditional wireless communication technologies are facing limitations in capacity and coverage range. To address this challenge, Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) clusters have been proposed as a solution to provide assisted wireless network services to ground users, thereby optimizing the service quality of cellular networks and increasing the coverage range of wireless communication. To enhance the coverage capacity of UAV clusters, we proposed a UAV cluster coverage capacity model, based on this model, we proposed a UAV cluster coverage capacity optimization algorithm for the UAV cluster assisted communication scenario, using the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm. We also conducted simulation experiments on the proposed algorithm. The simulation results showed that the algorithm has good convergence.
