Abstract
The corrosion behaviors of ultra-high strength steel 40CrNi2Si2MoVA in submerged zone of simulated seawater were investigated by full immersion tests. The morphology of corrosion products was observed by SEM Electrochemical property was tested by polarization curves. The results showed that the corrosion process began with pit corrosion, the corrosion area increased and the uniform corrosion formed with the increase of corrosion time. The corrosion potential decreased and the corrosion current increased with the corrosion time.
