Abstract

In this paper, a novel three-dimensional cooperative guidance law is presented for unpowered missiles. The velocity of missiles without motive force will change and be uncontrolled in the terminal guidance stage. Relative range and closing speed between missiles and target are taken as coordination variables rather than estimate time-to-go in the design of the cooperative control law. The whole guidance process is divided into two phases. Specifically, the first phase utilizes distributed tracking control law and integral sliding mode (ISM) protocol to achieve consistency of coordinate variables under disturbance. When the coordination variables tend to be consistent, missiles attack the target under proportional navigation guidance (PNG) law. The simulation results show that the cooperative guidance law can effectively attack the target simultaneously.
