Abstract

This paper addresses control-relevant analysis for a parametric modeling hypersonic vehicle. The vehicle model has integrated frame-propulsion-elastic configuration which brings strong coupling and make the control design a challenging. A nonlinear 3-DOF longitudinal dynamics model with regular states and flexible body states is introduced to investigate how the aero elastic modes impacts system properties and control design. The impacts of these are examined with respect to static and dynamics properties. The static properties contain trim flight conditions with different altitude and Mach number, while the dynamics properties include egienvalues and variable modes. The nonminimum phase is also discussed. A nonlinear controller based on a simplified model is designed to testify the control performance of the proposed vehicle model. The dynamic system is linearized by the feedback linearization first and then sliding mode control is used for the control design The simulation is conducted to the full flexible model with the proposed controller.
