Content-based visual multimedia query language

There are two ways to get multimedia information from multimedia database, one is query language manipulated directly information and the other is developing query interface. With the development of visual program language development and the technique of content based query. It is possible to combine both of them. The query by visual example and query by pictorial example were connected and the content-based visual multimedia query language (CB_VMQL) was designed. Semantics expression, conceptual definition, object-oriented expression and image example were combined, which provides not only visual query interface, but also supports multimedia information query.
