Abstract
Manufacturing Service Collaboration (MSC) enables the integration of services to effectively address complex, customised, and flexible manufacturing demands in Industry 5.0. Moreover, the application of Digital Twin Shop-floor (DTS) technologies brings about the realisation of a digital twin environment within the shop-floor. In the context of MSC, it is crucial to establish collaboration consensus among distributed digital twin shop-floor services to ensure effective production outcomes. This paper addresses the challenge of achieving consensus in DTS for MSC. We propose an index system to facilitate this consensus. Then, we investigate collaboration mechanisms, where the services within DTS are represented as nodes in the MSC network and integrate them into a comprehensive framework that covers 5 stages of digital twin service collaboration. Leveraging the index system and collaboration mechanisms, we present 3-level consensus control strategies that account for the time delay between services’ cyber-physical interaction and collaboration interaction. Finally, we applied our method in the shop-floor Surface Mounted Technology (SMT) process. The experimental results demonstrate the efficiency of the consensus strategies and consensus collaboration mechanism. Furthermore, the existence of time delay with threshold, which can be calculated from the control parameters and network topology in the current case, is analysed and demonstrated.
