Abstract

A reasonable inventory control strategy can improve production efficiency and enhance service quality. The prerequisite for designing a reasonable strategy is to construct a proper conceptional model of the inventory system. However, due to the complexity and systematic nature of multi-echelon spare parts inventory systems, traditional document-based modeling methods are increasingly difficult to build the model accurately and efficiently. Considering the advantages of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in complex system modeling, this paper establishes a conceptional model for the multi-echelon inventory system of spare parts based on SysML. Furthermore, modeling methods and processes specifically tailored to the conceptional model of the multi-echelon inventory system of spare parts are proposed. This approach enables the constructed model to possess excellent normativity, consistency, traceability, and scalability, allows for model visualization and effectively enhances the development efficiency of conceptional model for inventory systems.
