Abstract

The capability of depressing pressure fluctuation is important to achieve high tracking performance of electro-hydraulic load simulator (EHLS). This paper summarizes the major factors that may cause the pressure fluctuation in hydraulic systems. The effect of pressure fluctuation on the control precision of EHLS is also analyzed. To further improve the system robustness, a generic compensation algorithm of pressure is proposed to adjust the control gain in forward channel on-line, which utilizes the feedback of supply pressure to decrease the interference of pressure fluctuation. The simulation and experiments show that this algorithm can effectively reduce the torque ripples and improve the tracking performance of EHLS.
