Abstract

The electromagnetic scattering measurement of a target under test is contaminated by the scattering of the upper portion of the metal pylon itself and the coupling scattering between the target and the pylon. These have impact on the recognition of the target inherent scattering characteristics. To reduce and eliminate the impact of coupling scattering, methods are proposed based on scattered field vectors and one-dimensional high resolution range profiles. The methods are analyzed according to their implementation procedures, respectively. Comparison is carried out between the extraction results using the proposed methods and the solution of the isolated target, in which the correctness and the precision of the results are verified.
