Abstract

Dual band Linear to circular polarization converters are widely used in modern communication systems. Requirements of wide operational bandwidth, simple and ultra-thin design, and stable performances for oblique incidence angles make design of such converters quite challenging. In this paper, a single-side layered metasurface is presented which performs in dual wide-bands and converts incident x(y) polarized wave into transmitted LHCP(RHCP) wave from 11.05~16.75GHz (41%) and RHCP(LHCP) from 34.16~43.03GHz (23%) which qualifies for numerous practical applications including millimeter-wave-communication.
