Coherent dual-comb mode-locked fiber laser based on a birefringent ring cavity

Abstract

Based on a passively mode-locked fiber cavity with relatively large birefringence, it is demonstrated that coherent dual-comb emissions with dual soliton pulse trains of slightly different repetition rates and nearly orthogonal polarization can be generated.
