Abstract

In this paper, the design of a low profile circularly tapered antipodal Vivaldi antenna for array-based UWB nearfield imaging is presented. The antenna with the dimensions of 45±48.5 mm achieves satisfactory impedance matching and radiation performance across the frequency band from 2.7 to 26 GHz. The proposed antenna exhibits consistent UWB characteristics over a wide angle, which is crucial for near-field imaging applications.
