Abstract

The paper presents, the design of right hand circular polarized (RHCP), system on-chipped microstrip antenna which will be used for terahertz (THz) communication application. Z- shapes slots are used to convert the antenna from linear polarization to circular polarization. Due to the sensitive slots, the antenna will be also used for sensing application. The operating frequency range of the antenna is from 0.258-0.355 THz with 97 GHz fractional bandwidth. The operating bandwidth of the axial ratio is 11% at 3 dB. A maximum of 4.6 dBi gain is achieved at 0.26 THz frequency. Due to small amount of loss at high frequency waveguide port is used in the feeding line.
