Abstract

The feasibility of applying chaotic features to the maritime target detection is studied in this paper. Experimental results on measured IPIX data shows that embedding dimension, box dimension and correlation dimension, which are not sensitive to the sea state, can reflect the difference between targets and clutter effectively. Such characteristics provide a new idea for further research in obtaining robust maritime target detector.
