Abstract

In order to construct a lightweight authenticated key agreement protocol for satellite network, a pairing-free key agreement scheme is proposed, targeting the problem of the existing key agreement scheme's computation based on bilinear pairings is so huge that is not suitable for satellite network. Certificateless cryptography was introduced to settle the problems of transmission and storage of certificates from traditional certificate-based cryptography and key escrow problem from identity-based cryptography. Also time stamp was used to achieve secure update and agreement of secret key. The scheme avoids the heavy computation burden from bilinear pairings. The analysis shows that the scheme meets the security requirement and performs efficiently.
