Abstract
The infrared radiation of midcourse ballistic targets is an important property for the early warning system to detect and identify. The relative position between the Sun, the earth and the target are calculated to get the objectives of the affected by external radiation. A finite volume method is used to calculated the three-dimensional temperature field of cone-shaped targets, bi-directional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) to get the reflective properties from the radiation of the Sun and the Earth, and the changes and spatial distribution of optical properties of different types of midcourse targets are calculated in combination with their own infrared radiation. And last, effect of the external radiation environment and the material properties of objectives on infrared radiation characteristics of the target have been analyzed.
