Abstract

Higher-order spectral analysis can suppress Gaussian noise effectively, and Hilbert envelope analysis can demodulate the fault modulation frequency. In order to analyze the fault vibration signal of mechanical products accurately, in this paper the advantages of higher-order spectrum and Hilbert envelope analysis are combined. Firstly, the Hilbert envelope analysis of the vibration signal is performed to obtain the envelope of the signal. Then the envelope is analyzed by bispectrum. At last the nonlinear characteristics resulting from the secondary phase coupling can be extracted to obtain the fault characteristic frequency. Through a case study, the method proposed in this paper is verified, which makes effective diagnosis of the bearing failure.
