Abstract
Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitor (ARAIM) is an integrity monitoring method that is updated from RAIM. ARAIM is proposed by GEAS (FAA) and further developed by WG-C ARAIM Technical Subgroup of the EU-US Cooperation of Satellite Navigation. ARAIM is designed to support enroute and terminal area flight. It should also support lateral and vertical guidance during approach operations. These aircraft operations are called localizer precision vertical or LPV. ARAIM is expected to support LPV-200, which means that this guidance should support approach operations down to 200-foot altitudes. So as to meet LPV-200 requirements, there are two structures called offline and online. This paper introduces both the two structures and proposes a new one that combines the two. The proposed structure is based on GPS and BDS constellations and uses the Ground Regional Integrity Monitor System (GRIMS) as the ground monitor station network. In this work, the operating mechanisms are introduced and the simulation result of availability is shown.
