Abstract

A flight simulation turning table and its controller were designed by using virtual prototype technology. Considering nonlinear, friction and flex characters of system, a complex virtual prototype was built by Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanism System (ADAMS). The mechanism part was built through Solidworks and imported to ADAMS. The method made virtual prototype building and mechanism design coherent. It was produced that controller design and simulation experiment were completed using virtual prototype instead of original mathematics model in order to make the condition more close to the real situation. The control performance could be verified based on virtual prototype in a condition more close to real system, and controller design could begin before real prototype was produced. The design efficiency could be improved. The method how the controller was designed and verified was introduced by using a single axis turning table for example. According to the united simulation experiment results, it can be seen that this method is effective.
