Abstract

To solve the problem that the interference of vibration noise in the strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS) affects navigation accuracy, a joint noise reduction method based on Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) decomposition and Infifinite Impulse Response (IIR) low-pass digital filter was proposed. On the basis of EMD decomposition, Finally, SINS vehicle test is carried out. The results show that the combined noise reduction method based on joint noise reduction method based on EMD decomposition and IIR low-pass digital filter has an obvious effect on the noise reduction of accelerometer signal. After filtering, the horizontal positioning error of INS is better than 0.29 nautical miles, and the navigation accuracy is improved by 31%. Therefore, the joint noise reduction method based on EMD decomposition and IIR low-pass digital filter proposed in this paper can effectively improve the navigation accuracy of SINS.
