Abstract

Truck dispatching plays a significant role in cost and production efficiency in open-pit mining systems. However, existing simulation models suffer from proprietary software ecosystem and insufficient modeling accuracy, hindering the design and comparison of dispatching algorithms. To address these issues, this paper develops Anypit, a lightweight and extensible simulation platform. The platform incorporates planar graph road network and a hybrid discrete-continuous event processing framework, enhancing the modeling granularity of operational processes. A dual threading mechanism decouples the dispatching computations from evolution of the environment. Furthermore, a series of compatibility mechanisms facilitate integration and unified comparison of different algorithms. Policy baselines tests demonstrate that the platform can model the complete lifecycle of mining trucks with high granularity and effectively evaluate the performance of various algorithms.
