Analysis of trajectory divergence characteristics for double-seat escape system

Abstract

In order to analyze the trajectory divergence characteristics for double-seat escape system, a solver was designed based on MSC. EASY 5 fundamental platform in this research. Subsequently, the trajectory divergence characteristics were numerically calculated and analyzed with the solver, including trajectory divergence performance evaluation, analysis of the influence of divergence on trajectory height and seat stability. The analysis results show that the trajectory divergence technology could effectively prevent the double-seat from interference at low speed. Although the trajectory height is somewhat reduced and the seat stability is affected a little, the integrated performance of the double-seat escape system is improved. The results provide a theoretical guidance for the engineering application.
