Analysis of Three-Dimensional (3D) Warranty Data Considering Fluctuated Sales and Heterogeneous Failures

Abstract

Fluctuated sales and heterogeneous failure increase the challenge of warranty analysis. To consider the influence of sales and failures, this paper introduces three-dimensional coordinates for warranty mode modelling and proposes two models: Model I is a self-updating data filter based on a failure knowledge graph; Model II is developed with a 3D copula function, which is used to obtain the joint distributions of the 3D data. To illustrate the proposed models, a real case of automobile warranty is considered.
