Abstract
Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI) is a crucial part in active Fault Tolerant Control System (FTCS). Different FDI method will result in different system performance. How to model the FDI process and evaluate its influence upon the system is very important. Observer-based FTCS with Markovian Parameters with environment noise is considered; a set of Markov stochastic processes with a finite state space are defined to represent FDI decision. Further, system stability and reliability are discussed. A sufficient condition of mean square stochastic exponential stability of this class of systems is established. A numerical example of DC motor is given. © 2007
