Abstract
The diode rectifier for high-speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) causes high harmonics, low power factor and low efficiency. In this paper, a combined three-phase boost Power Factor Correction (PFC) converter is applied to solve the problem. The combined three-phase boost PFC converter consists of three direct boost converters. The topology of the converter is discussed to illustrate the working principle. Moreover, to construct the closed-loop control, the small-signal model is built. A case study of 30000 rpm PMSG is used to analyze the performance of the combined three-phase boost PFC converter.
