Abstract
This paper introduces a combination of testing and finite element simulation for the abnormal vibration of a truck cab in specific speed. The vibration of Axle, frame and cab in different speed is tested, and combined with the characteristics of the main auto vibration source, thus the vibration source of the truck is identified. The finite element model is established and the modal analysis is performed. By analyzing the vibration characteristics of each component from the road tests, and combined with the simulation results, the factors that caused the abnormal vibration of the truck are found. Based on the work above, structure optimization of frame is conducted, and the truck; is remanufactured and tested. Results show that abnormal vibration decreased by 90% and the truck cab abnormal vibration problem has been solved finally.
