Analyses of cloud manufacturing and related advanced manufacturing models

In order to comprehensively understand relationship between Cloud Manufacturing(CMfg) and existing manufacturing models, concepts, backgrounds, and state-of-the-art of several typical models related to CMfg were systematically analyzed, such as agile manufacturing, networked manufacturing and service oriented manufacturing. On this basis, relations and differences were discussed between CMfg and existing models from philosophy perspective and application models. Characteristics and connotation of CMfg were presented, it was pointed out that CMfg aims to achieve agile, service-oriented, green and intelligent manufacturing, it was a new phase of networked manufacturing, and was materialization of service-oriented manufacturing.
