Abstract

In this article, a novel X-band dual polarization broadband reflect-array is designed. The unit cell is composed of four parasitic radiation patches and a cross structure, which can support X polarization and Y polarization. A side-fed reflect-array antenna is adopted to avoid the feed blockage. The simulation results show that the unit has a linear reflection phase shift greater than 360 ° at 9-12 GHz and a reflection amplitude close to 0 dB. The antenna can achieve a broad 3-dB gain bandwidth of 40% and a peak gain of 25 dBi at 10 GHz.
