Abstract

Aiming at the problems of unstable output voltage and low power density in the power generation process of flywheel energy storage (FES) system, an improved type of control method of flywheel energy storage system is studied, in which the motor uses the three-phase 12/8-pole switched reluctance generator (SRG). It integrates the rotor of the motor with the rotor of the flywheel energy storage system. Perfected an improved angular position control (APC) strategy, adding PWM voltage regulation control on the basis of APC and CCC to overcome the problems of low power density when the motor is running at low speed, and verifying the feasibility of the above method through simulation and experiments.
