Abstract

FAST TCP is a transmission control protocol for high-speed long-latency networks, and it keeps a stable queue length in routers to use network resources more efficiently. In this paper the FAST TCP is introduced to high-speed long-latency wireless network because of its better performance. Aiming at decreasing of throughput due to random link error, an improved FAST TCP is proposed based on available bandwidth estimation to identify the reason of packet loss. Its process model in OPNET is realized. The simulation results show that the improved FAST TCP could identify the reason of packet loss effectively and enhance the throughout in high-speed long-latency wireless network.
