Abstract
A detailed analysis of the continuous long slot leaky-wave antenna working in millimeter-waveband is carried out by the piecewise integration conformal finite-difference time-domain (CFDTD) method. Firstly, the piecewise integration CFDTD method is presented. Secondly, the key steps involved in the design scheme are summarized. Then a continuous long slot leaky-wave antenna in Ka band is designed and fabricated as an example. Moreover, the return loss of the E-plane Tee-junction (ET) and the radiation pattern of the leaky-wave antenna are simulated by the piecewise integration CFDTD method. Finally, the results are compared with those of the staircase FDTD method and experimental data.
