Abstract

Based on the analysis on the constant amplitude fatigue test most transmissions adopted at present, an accelerated fatigue test method is derived by applying linear cumulative damage rule. The load spectra and stress cycle number of the method and the damage ratio of transmission's key parts under different load intensified coefficients are analyzed, and the equivalent relationship between cycle number and damage ratio of two test methods are obtained. The test results of two methods show that the accelerated fatigue method can better maintain failure mechanism and hence is more reasonable, but it still needs further verification by a large number of tests.
