Abstract

The structure with periodic array structure is a common structure in electromagnetic fields. In general, the periodic array with electrically large size or complex electromagnetic parameters etc., the scattering characteristics of this structure is difficult to obtaine. A novel and simple analysis method on the scattering characteristics of the finite periodic array is proposed in this paper, taking advantage of this periodic array structure, and regardless of the unit material. The effect of the array arrangement and the unit structure on the scattering distribution of the finite periodic array is derived. The novel method can be used to analyze the lobe position conveniently, and the angle error is less than 1 degree based on the verification with the Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD) method combined by perfect material layer (PML).
