Abstract

In this article, a method of image registration based on Feature Space of Distance (FSD) between points is firstly introduced into dim and small target detection in deep space background. This algorithm uses the feature space to calculate the transform parameters and realizes the dim and small target detection through the suppression of the star background. The experimental results indicate that our method is effective and can be applied to automatic target recognition (ATR) system.
