An Acquisition Circuit Based on the Transimpedance Amplifier for Triboelectric Nanogenerator Sensors

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

The transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs) are widely used in measurement systems, particularly those involving current-output sensors. This article presents an acquisition circuit based on the TIA for triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) sensors. The system's dynamic performance was evaluated by simulating the TENG output using both DC current sources (6221, Keithley). Experimental results demonstrate that, compared to conventional TIAs, the proposed system achieves both an input dynamic range from picoamps to 1 mA and a bandwidth of up to 2 MHz. Furthermore, the TIA demonstrates portability and excellent thermal stability, making it suitable for friction-based sensing applications. Notably, the proposed TIA architecture is versatile and applicable to various fields, including optical communication and biosensing systems.
