Abstract

Access is a usual network behavior in a mobile communication system in which both User Equipment (UE) and Node (e.g. evolved Node Base (eNB), pico, femeto) are involved. In this paper, the limitation of traditional access method is analyzed and an improved method based on UE location is proposed for the improvement of system performance. The method is suitable for most mobile communication systems, especially for heterogenous network in LTE-Advanced system because more interference is incurred by edge UEs. The comparison is carried out in terms of average and edge system throughput through the system simulation.
