Abstract

Ground-based arc array synthetic aperture radar (GB-AA-SAR) is a multi-channel microwave system, so the amplitude and phase errors between the channels can not be neglected in GB-AA-SAR signal processing. If the errors are not corrected accurately, the image quality will be degraded seriously. In this paper, the influences of multi-channel amplitude and phase errors on GB-AA-SAR imaging are analyzed firstly. Then an amplitude and phase errors correction method using an arc calibrator is presented. Finally, numerical simulation experiments are carried out to validate the proposed method.
