Abstract

Aeroengine on stall and surge is an important part of airworthiness certification, and the development of airworthiness certification methods for civil engine on stall and surge is of great engineering value. Based on the basic requirement of the stall and surge of the aeroengine in the “Aero Engines Airworthiness Regulation”, in view of the effect of inlet distortion on stall and surge and using the parallel compressor model, the common characteristics and the surge margin of an aeroengine are estimated and there is only a difference of less than 1.5% between the calculating results and experimental data. Then a three-dimensional numerical method is used to calculate the distortion of the flow field including a variety of conditions of changes in intake angle of attack and distortion range, and the change rule is summed up between the surge margin, inlet distortion and angle of attack, and the judgment method of limit attack of angle is developed. Finally, we develop a method of airworthiness certification for aeroengine on stall and surge by combining the relevant documents in China Civil Aviation Regulations.
