Adaptive restoration algorithm to reduce ring effects in aero-optics effect

Abstract

Based on the introduction of the origin of the ringing effects in image restoration algorithm in aero-optics effect, the method of constrained adaptive restoration was adopted to reduce ringing effects. The algorithm was improved by using the weighed matrixes, which were made by Sobel gradient operator. The results showed that the adaptive restoration algorithm is efficient, and it reduced the ringing effects clearly compared with other methods such as wiener filter.
