Abstract
The adaptive extended Kalman filtering model and its algorithm for global positioning system (GPS)/dead reckoning (DR) integrated navigation system in land vehicle were proposed to improve positioning accuracy of the system. The performance of the model designed for GPS/DR system can adaptively regulated by automatically changing covariance motions of observation noise and system error to make the model has smart characteristics. The efficiency of the model and algorithm for adaptive extended Kalman filtering has been verified by computer simulation and experiment.
