Abstract

To implement the rapid maneuvering and high stability control of spacecraft attitude, Variable Speed Control Moment Gyroscopes(VSCMGs) is used to produce the attitude control moments. However, the dynamic characteristic of VSCMGs, external environment disturbances and consumption of fuels have significant influence to spacecraft attitude control system. Taking into account the uncertainty of inertia parameters and external environment disturbances, adaptive control system is devised on account of backstepping method, which can estimate the uncertain parameters and inhibit the effects to attitude control system effectively. The attitude angles and attitude angle speeds both have good tracking performance. Simulation results demonstrate the designed control strategy is available and feasible.
