abstract = "With the increasing number of host and application to be monitored in the enterprise, the traditional SNMP-based management systems have difficulties to extend and integrate with other applications. WSDM-based host and application monitoring can solve this problem well through web service. In this paper, we design and implement a scalable host and application monitoring framework based on WSDM which maps host's and application's manageability capability to web service. The testing results show that this framework has good scalability and easier integration with other management systems.",
