N2 - As the development of Internet technology, information exchange and controlling technique based on long-distance are developed rapidly, which also provide new space for structural test method. By developing technologies for collaborative networked structural experiments among geographically distributed structural laboratories and by dividing the whole structure into several substructures for testing, these will integrate individual laboratories into large-scale Internet-based structural testing system which will provide strong backup for full-scale structural experiments, will make the large-scaled experiment which was only a dream in the past become a reality under distributed environment by remote control and will also bring tremendous economic and social benefits. So far as structural testing is concerned at present, pseudodynamic test needs real-time feedback and control, which can just adapt to the networked structural testing. This paper discusses the feasibility and availability of Internet-based remote structural pseudodynamic test method in theory and technology, meanwhile develops a telecontrol pseudodynamic test software, which is demonstrated by two trial tests and gets satisfactory result through the testing network. At last the paper presents the problems of Internet-based structural pseudodynamic test system needed to further research in the near future.
